Year 12 biology gives students a deeper appreciation of molecular and biological systems, including heredity and genetic technologies. When taking year 12 biology, you will also learn more about diseases and disorders and their effects. For students who envision themselves having a future in a medical field, year 12 biology is a prerequisite to enrolling in those disciplines at university — this will avoid the need for bridging courses.
