We build on core foundational skills that will be used throughout your child’s education, all while following the NSW Curriculum and teaching a term ahead of school so your child can ahead in the classroom. In Year 6, we build your child’s confidence in topics that will be required in high school, including statistics, probability, measurement, geometry and number.

Our year 6 maths tutoring in Australia will set your child up for high school success, building on the foundational skills from the NSW Curriculum a term ahead of school to help them in the classroom. They will focus on building numeric skills, including statistics and probability, measurement and geometry, fractions and decimals and basic algebraic concepts.
Students can begin their studies once they successfully enrol in year 6 maths tutoring. They will complete a quiz at the start and end of the lesson to revise what they’ve learned in preparation for exams.
There are four terms in our year 6 math tutor program. These include:
- Term 1: Integers, Operations and Fractions — Students study integers, prime, composite, square and triangular numbers, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, problem-solving with mixed operations, grouping symbols and operations, fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Term 2: Algebra and Area — Students will study patterns and algebra, length, area, volume and prisms, and volume and capacity.
- Term 3: Shapes — Students will learn about mass, time, 3D, and 2D space.
- Term 4: Angles, Data and Probability — Students will study angles, data and chance.
