Year 3 Maths is the first year of stage two. By the end of Year 3, students should be building confidence in using strategies to solve problems, using technology to investigate mathematical concepts and check solutions. They should be covering multiplication and division, fractions and money, as well as having as building an understanding of measurement including depth, weight and capacity and units of time.

Review and reinforce the previous week's lesson to improve retention. Students also complete a weekly assessment to assess their understanding of the previous week's content.
Explain and Explore 20 min
Students are guided through a detailed analysis of the scheduled weekly material by the tutor. The course material is broken into bite-sized ‘chunks’ so it can be manageably understood and retained by students.
Practice and Perform 40 min
Students are guided on how to answer exercises and are offered feedback on their responses.
Recap and Synthesise 10 min
Students review the material covered in the lesson and are provided with weekly feedback identifying areas for improvement.
