A Band 6 isn’t built in the final term. From foundations in Year 10 to exam-condition practice in Year 12, Dymocks Talent 100 targets the right skills at the right time, content, assessments, feedback and exam technique. (Timing follows the general NSW school-term calendar; individual schools set their own dates.)

Subject selection starts now. We help students choose courses they can genuinely perform strongly in, not just ones rumoured to “scale well”. They also sit their Year 10 yearly exams, confirm a valid HSC pattern, and bridge into senior-level content over the summer.
Faster content, greater depth and tougher marking than Year 10. We put the systems in place from day one, a weekly study timetable, weekly note-making, and error and feedback logs that turn every mistake into a correction.
Half-yearly exams and major tasks arrive. Students learn to decode directive verbs (analyse, assess, evaluate), work directly from the marking criteria, and correct every task so the next response is measurably better.
Move from isolated topics to connecting the whole course, mixed-topic papers, full responses without notes, and timed, closed-book practice ahead of the Preliminary exams.
Sit the Preliminary exams (typically late Term 3 or Term 4), then start the Year 12 HSC course straight away. Beginning HSC content a full term early is one of the biggest advantages a student can have.
