Dymocks Term 1
Reading to Write: Students are exposed to a variety of high quality texts and learn to appreciate and unpack how they convey ideas, relationships and experiences. They reflect on their knowledge as a writer and begin to write their own creative responses, inspired by the themes and aesthetics in the texts they have studied. Students are given strategies to analyse and interpret how texts are constructed as well as completing a wide range of their own creative writing tasks. View the lesson plan

Narratives that Shape Our World: In this module, students explore a range of narratives from the past and the contemporary era that illuminate and convey ideas, attitudes and values. They consider the powerful role of stories and storytelling as a feature of narrative in past and present societies. Senior Writing Skills: Students practice the skills they will need in order to write critically, imaginatively and discursively in Year 12 English.
