Year 12 Chemistry Tutoring

Our Year 12 Chemistry course explores the structure, composition and reactions of and between existing elements, compounds and mixtures, equilibrium and acid reactions and practical chemistry applications. This course provides the necessary foundation for Chemistry during their HSC year and to continue tertiary study in various science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine fields. 

Year 12 Chemistry lesson plan 

Our Year 12 Chemistry tutors will begin lessons by allowing students to review the previous week to ensure their understanding and learning retention. It’s the role of a Year 12 Chemistry tutor to break down the subject matter into material that’s easily understood and retained by students.

The Year 12 Chemistry term course program 

Students will study the following course program:

• Term 1 — Students will study the dynamic nature of equilibrium in chemical systems and acid reactions.
• Term 2 — Students will study contemporary models of acid-base behaviour to explain their properties and uses.
• Term 3 — Students will study organic chemistry, developing their understanding between the structure, properties and chemical reactions of different organic functional groups. 
• Term 4 — Students will study applying chemical ideas, where they learn about qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques for inorganic and organic substances.
