Year 11 Biology will teach your child the necessary analytical and scientific skills to succeed in their Year 11 Biology exams. Performing well in Year 11 has been proven to indicate eventual student outcomes in the HSC, so students must develop good content knowledge and mastery of Biology in Year 11.
Our Year 11 Biology tutors will introduce your child to core biological concepts to develop their skills at the molecular level and build their understanding of biological systems and the problem-solving skills they need to form evidence-based conclusions.
Each lesson will start with a review of the previous week to ensure students grasp the subject properly and retain information. Our focus on retention is critical because it takes the stress out of exam preparation. Our Year 11 Biology tutors will then go through a detailed analysis of the subject material, allowing students to practise answering questions before completing a recap quiz and receiving valuable real-time feedback. This feedback is followed up with weekly reports, which help the student and parents understand what is done well, what can be improved and where the student should spend time with additional practice. Each lesson will end with supported study time, where students can work on their school assessments or run practice questions.
Students will study the following course program:
