Your child doesn't need a teacher. They need a tutor who can help them break down the subject and identify areas of improvement.

We understand how to study smarter, not harder. That's why we condense our notes to give students only what they need to get ahead.

Unlike competitors, we limit classes to 12 so students get the attention they need in an interactive and engaging environment.

Each student gets guaranteed personal attention in dedicated practice time.

Our classrooms are designed to get the job done. Equipped with fast wi-fi and digital boards, they provide everything for students to study smart and get ahead.

Many of our subjects have additional video support to help students understand concepts in their own time.

Using the Dymocks App you're able to keep track of weekly scores as well as tutor feedback. Few other businesses provide the level of feedback we do.

Each subject has at least one and many have more than one topic test. Written in actual exam style we ensure students are prepared for success at school.

Our NEW state-of-the art Max system helps students learn by providing quizzes and, over time, personalised mastery paths to get to success easier.

As a member of our broader community, get access to academic advice and invitations to events and seminars to ensure you're always in the know.

Students are able to access their resources until the end of the academic year. Perfect for that end of year practice!

All new students receive a no-obligation lesson to ensure that they love us before they enrol. Talk to our team today!
Advanced maths tackles more complex techniques and concepts than the syllabus covered in Standard Maths. In year 12, maths advanced is a required prerequisite for further study in the fields of physics, economics, commerce, engineering, computing, medicine, pharmacy, psychology, veterinary science, food science, agriculture and more.
As part of the NSW state syllabus, year 12 maths continues Stage 6 of students’ education in mathematical concepts and problem-solving. It includes trigonometric functions and graphs, complex algebra, modelling of financial situations, applied calculus, statistical analysis and applications of differentiation.
Advanced maths provides students with the opportunity to develop mathematical skills across a variety of disciplines, with a focus on real-world applications and using learned techniques to problem solve. It covers a range of mathematical concepts, including functions, calculus, statistical analysis, trigonometry and financial mathematics — giving students a broad understanding of these concepts and the tools they need to think and work mathematically. The outcomes of advanced maths aim to help students better understand and communicate mathematical concepts, gain fluency in these concepts, and improve their problem solving, reasoning and justification skills.
To excel in this subject, many year 12 advanced math students benefit from working with a tutor to solidify concepts and improve exam performance. Our tutors help students engage with the syllabus using material like the Maths in Focus Advanced Year 12 textbook to support and bolster their school lessons. With group and private tutoring available, there’s a solution to help every student catch up, get ahead, and excel. All students receive access to notes, practice questions and exams.
At Dymocks Tutoring, advanced maths costs $1,386.00 per term. Our expert team has been selected for both their skill in advanced maths and their enthusiasm and communication skills. Our private and group tutors work directly with students to help them master the content of their chosen field of study. To find out more about our pricing or book a tutor, talk to us today!
ATAR is calculated from a student’s scaled marks in their best 10 units of eligible Year 12 courses, including at least 2 units of English. It is a rank, not a mark, and shows a student’s position relative to other students.
