What is covered in year 8 maths?
Our year 8 maths tutors will help students build their confidence in concepts used throughout higher-level maths required for NAPLAN and, later in High School, the HSC. Students will use their mathematical knowledge to analyse and solve problems to prepare them for the NAPLAN and HSC exams and real-life applications.
How do I start studying year 8 maths?
Students can begin their studies once they have successfully enrolled in the subject. They will complete a quiz at the start and end of the lesson to reinforce their learning and give lots of practice in preparation for exams.
How many terms are in year 8 maths?
Our Year 8 math program covers all the elements of the syllabus. There are four terms in our year 8 maths tutoring course:
- Term 1 — Geometry, number, algebraic and techniques.
- Term 2 — Equations and geometry.
- Term 3 — Rates and ratios of data.
- Term 4 — Statistics and geometry coordination.
Each term includes nine weekly lessons with lots of practice and a weekly review quiz, plus an end-of-term exam to ensure students are engaged with the relevant concepts for each term. Students can choose between private or group tutoring for year 8 maths. They will benefit from working alongside their peers and can work closely with a year 8 math tutor to address any areas of concern.
